I use Premier Power, have sent work to a scopist who was able to edit my file after I sent it in .txt format; however, when I go get it back, format is a mess. She has also sent me an NGL file as well as a RTF. Would anyone know how I import those into Premier Power. It would be so much easier than fooling with the text file trying to make that work.
She isn't able to open my .V1 file either. Any suggestions, thanks

Hi melani,
Is your scopist using Premier Power? If so, I would recommend you do a regular BACKUP from the Job Manager and let her RESTORE in her Premier Power. She should send back in the same format. This will preserve the formatting of the job.
If your scopist is not on Premier Power, then all you can do is import her ASCII file. This unfortunately will remove the formatting of the job and you will need to recreate it.
If you happen to have the Premier Power RTF Import/Export disk Stenograph may have provided, then its possible you can import the RTF file. To see if its installed, go to Power DOS under your Tools menu and look for IMP-RTF. RTF does at least attempt to save formatting although it may still require some adjusting on your part.
By default, Premier Power gives ASCII files a .v1 extension. Since it is an ASCII file, you can safely rename the .v1 extension to .txt in Windows. This will allow your scopist to open your Premier Power ASCII files.
Hope that helps!
