I have dug out my StenoRam Ultra and found my Maestro TS ver 5.3 diskettes and software key. I am trying to get up and running again and have installed everything on a win 98 Pentium II processor. I went through the tutorial for the software fine, but when I try to access Maestro, it tells me "Installing as Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) Our of environment space and then Execution Key Device NOT FOUND!! Make sure Execution Key is connected to correct output port." There is only one com port on this machine and I'm using it for the software key.
Is there some kind of manual somewhere that I might be able to find to help me troubleshoot any of this? Unfortunately it's been way too long and none of it is familiar. I would appreciate any help you can offer.
Thank you! Chrissie

Hi chrissie,
All the Pentium II computers I've seen have 9-pin serial ports.
Maestro keys however require 25-pin serial ports.
Your key should have a 25-pin to 9-pin adapter to plug into the serial port.
Another port that commonly looks like a 25-pin serial is the PARALLEL port (or printer port). Make sure you are not trying to plug your key into the Parallel port.
As for the TSRs, that suggests you have programs running in the background. They may be conflicting.
