How can I load a Maestro dictionary into the Stentura 8000LX? In order to be sure Maestro would read notes from a Stentura, I borrowed a friend's floppy which she generated on her Stentura 8000LX. I chose the SmartWriter option in Maestro, and it read the disk fine.
My question is: In order to get the English display on the LCD screen on the Stentura, I have to have my Maestro dictionary in the Stentura, right? How do I do that?
If it's impossible to display the English on the LCD, will it still show the steno?
I need to know all this info before I look any further into buying the 8000LX.
Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Hi Emelia,
In order to get a Maestro dictionary into a Stentura 8000, you would need to own a copy of Xscribe 2001. You can import the Maestro dictionary into 2001, and then export from 2001 to Stentura format.
Maestro does not work with a Stentura if you plan on hooking it up for realtime. It will only let you read in your notes.
So in a nutshell, the Stentura is mostly incompatible with Maestro. If you plan on using this combination, you would have to read the job in from the floppy disk the Stentura writes the notes to.
